Kinbaku & Semenawa bi-weekly study group.
Anyone can attend but this group is structured for those new to Kinbaku & Semenawa.
In this class we will discuss many important topic and themes crucial to understanding Kinbaku & Semenawa. Such as the history of SM in Japan, cultural differences between East & West, Wabi Sabi & Ma, consent practices, historical figures, and more.
We will also watch various kinbaku videos and discuss them and a group.
There may also be a tying demonstration.
If you are curious about Kinbaku and Semenawa this is a great chance to learn more on the topic.
A partner is not required for this class.
Kinbaku Ground Skills
This class is for all skill levels. That means both beginner and advanced students will be able to hone techniques and learn new ground skills.
New ties and concepts will be presented each class, and depending on a students skill levels, they will focus on learning different elements.
The class will start with teaching and after there will be an open tie for students to practice what they have learned.
It is encouraged that you attend this class with a partner, however those coming solo will still be able to learn and participate.
Bring 6 to 8 pieces of 8 meter rope. The studio also has rope on hand for students.
